New digs

Dad is just getting settled into his new digs at Upstate Community General Acute Rehab. For those interested in visiting, the address is 4900 Broad Rd. He is located in "4 East" in room 433. 

Tomorrow he will be evaluated by the occupational, physical and speech therapists and then will start his 3 hours per day rehab. The nursing staff and doctors seem to be very personable and knowledgable. 

Unfortunately, because we still can't communicate, I think he thought he was going home. When he arrived, he was noticeably sad and frustrated, but he is feeling much better now. He is in his street clothes with a nice private room with a lot more opportunity for independence. 

For those who want to visit, he's free from therapy every day after 4 pm. If you would like to visit before that, we just ask that you call the desk at 315.492.5573 and ask what time works best so as not to interfere with his therapy.
